Left on the Screen

Video installation (1’05”)

2015

A return to the landscapes of childhood reveals a dissonance between memory and present reality. The once-imagined forest appears fragmented — reduced to traces, debris, and absence.

The act of recording becomes both a necessity and a paradox: in order to preserve the image, the artist must first clear what remains. The forest survives as documentation, suspended between loss and projection.

The work reflects on the gradual displacement of nature into image — where memory, representation, and environmental collapse converge, leaving the landscape “left on the screen.
