Staphylea colchica (Jonjoli) is a Colchian endemic plant, fermented and served at both feasts and funerals — a ritual marker of cyclical life and ancestral continuity in my Country.

Placed beside it, Helleborus caucasicus (Lenten Rose) — a toxic species historically used as medicine — embodies the dangerous intimacy of cure and poison. Together they figure female herbal knowledge as an unstable territory, where care and violence, remedy and risk, exist in the same root.
